FAQ

What is Snatch It?+

Snatch It watches eBay for you and emails you the moment a listing matches something you're hunting for — graded cards, vinyl, comics, toys, retro games, or anything else. You set it up once; it runs in the background from then on.

How often does it check for new listings?+

Continuously, around the clock, for as long as your search is active. You can also click "Check now" on any search for an immediate check.

Which marketplaces does it search?+

Currently eBay's United States, United Kingdom, and Germany sites. Each account is set to search one of these three, chosen at signup and changeable anytime in Settings.

How do I get the most accurate results?+

Wrap specific multi-word items in quotation marks, e.g. "Final Fantasy VII" instead of Final Fantasy VII. Without quotes, eBay may match listings containing any of those words separately rather than the exact phrase — which is why a search for something like "Nintendo Switch" can occasionally surface unrelated listings that just happen to contain the word "switch." Quotes fix this.

Will I get spammed with emails?+

No — you only get one email per search per scan, and only when something genuinely new is found. Nothing new means no email. You can also turn email alerts off for any individual search, choose how often you're emailed (instant, every 3, 12, or 24 hours), or change the address alerts go to in Settings.

Is it free?+

Free accounts can have 1 active saved search at a time. Paid plans with more saved searches are coming soon.

What happens to old matches?+

To keep your list useful rather than cluttered, matches you haven't pinned are automatically removed after 7 days. Tap the star on any match to pin it and keep it permanently.

Do you store my eBay account details?+

No. Snatch It only reads publicly available listing data (titles, prices, photos, links) through eBay's own search API. It has no access to eBay accounts, passwords, or purchase history — yours or anyone else's.

Can I change my marketplace after signing up?+

Yes, anytime in Settings. Note that switching marketplaces clears your current match results (since they're no longer relevant), though your saved searches themselves stay intact.

How do I delete my account?+

There's a 'Delete my account' option at the bottom of Settings. It's permanent and immediately removes your account, saved searches, and match history — there's no recovery after confirming.
