Terms of Service
Last updated: 5 July 2026
This is a starting-point template written to reflect how Snatch It actually works today. It isn't a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer, and you should have it reviewed before relying on it at scale — particularly once real payments and a larger user base are involved.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Snatch It ("the Service", available at snatchit.online), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time, as described in Section 11.
2. What Snatch It does
Snatch It monitors eBay listings that match searches you save, and notifies you by email and/or push notification when a new matching listing appears. The Service watches one eBay marketplace (US, UK, or Germany) per account, chosen at signup and changeable in Settings.
Snatch It is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by eBay Inc. or any brand, franchise, or trademark holder referenced in listings the Service surfaces. All eBay listing data is retrieved via eBay's public API and reflects information eBay itself provides — we don't verify the accuracy, availability, authenticity, or condition of any listed item, and we're not a party to any transaction between you and a seller or eBay.
3. Accounts
You need an account to use Snatch It. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide a real, working email address, since it's how we deliver match alerts and important account notices. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
4. Plans, billing, and cancellation
Snatch It offers a Free plan and paid subscription plans (currently Pro and Elite), each with different limits on active saved searches and how often you can manually trigger a check. Current pricing for each plan is shown on our Upgrade page. Prices are shown in GBP, USD, and EUR — you're charged in the currency tied to your account's marketplace.
Paid plans renew automatically each month until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from Settings, which opens Stripe's secure customer portal. If a renewal payment fails, your account is automatically moved back to the Free plan.
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods. If you cancel, you keep paid-plan access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to circumvent the saved-search limits attached to your plan (for example, by cramming multiple items into one search using characters our system is designed to block).
- Use the Service to scrape, resell, or redistribute eBay's listing data at scale.
- Attempt to interfere with, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Service availability
We aim to keep Snatch It running reliably, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Scanning depends on eBay's own API being available and within our usage quota, and on third-party infrastructure we rely on (including hosting, database, and email delivery providers). We're not liable for missed matches caused by eBay outages, quota limits, or factors outside our reasonable control.
7. Intellectual property
The Snatch It name, logo, and site design are owned by us. eBay listing data, images, and marketplace trademarks belong to their respective owners. You may not copy or reuse our branding without permission.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that Snatch It will catch every matching listing, that alerts will always be timely, or that any particular item will still be available by the time you see an alert — marketplaces move fast, and other buyers may get there first.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including missed purchases or listings sold before you could act on an alert. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.
9. Account deletion and termination
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings. This immediately and irreversibly removes your saved searches, match history, and account data. We may also suspend or terminate your account for violating these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
10. Changes to the Service
We're actively developing Snatch It and may add, change, or remove features, including plan limits and pricing, at any time. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify existing subscribers of material pricing changes in advance.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
